The farm of Il Sole Verde, has a surface of 32 hectares within the Chianti area and more precisely 1 km from the border of the Chianti Classico area, at the edge of the province of Siena.
Today the farm produces about 55,000 kg of good Sangiovese grapes, a small amount of IGT Sangiovese wine in purity limited to 2000 bottles per year and about 1000 liters of the highest quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil .
Arable land is still used to produce cereals. Everything is cultivated with love and passion inspired by the principles of the old rural culture of which Guido (the owner) keeps well the memory as he lived in the countryside with an agronomist father and a mother born and raised in the Chianti Classico Area.
The olive grove, with about 700 plants placed on a hill in one of the most beautiful expositions of the area, mainly produces the Moraiolo to which particular care, agronomic practices and harvest are dedicated.
Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVO IGP) is produced. The farm also has plots of arable land that is currently kept at rest. There are 10 hectares of woods too where it’s possible to walk and in which fallow deer, roe deer and wild boar live.
The vineyard has 12 hectares, grown for 95% in Sangiovese.
The entire vineyard was replanted between 2000 and 2014.
All the plots have excellent sun exposure.
The wine, produced with a very small amount of grapes, is a Sangiovese in purity, organic, without using chemical additives and is the result of a traditional process of the old rural culture.
